need help with aem ems and 3.5 bar map install
i also posted this on the aem forum but they can be a little slow sometimes so hopefully i can get some help here too.
I'm basically running a 1040turbo440 base map with a few changes, mainly just the rc750 wizard, but i just wired in an aem 3.5 bar map and t'd into a IM vac line. i ran the map wizard and now the car will start but dies after about 5 seconds. i saw where it said the load based maps would have to be retuned but now i cant drive it to the tuner and unfortunately I'm still a beginner
but i feel i am somewhat capable and learn fast. can someone PLEASE help me out and point me in the right direction as to what i need to do just to get this thing back running so i can at least limp it to a tuner. Ive attached my cal if it helps (forgive the name i got frustrated that night). please let me know if you need any other info. i can also send a copy of the cal file if it will help or be of use.
thanks for any help you can give me, Joel

Joel,
Your cal is not attached as you can't attach files on honda-tech directly.
Your issue could be anything from too little fuel, too much fuel, incorrect map sensor wiring/readings etc...
Attaching a cal with a datalog may help.

You should be able to get it to start if your map sensor is configured & wired properly.
If you can't I would suggest hiring an experienced tuner to come look at the situation in person.

well its only a three wire sensor and i wired it sen-sen gnd-gnd and 5v-5v so unless its supposed to be wired differently??
what do i need to do to configure the sensor other than selecting it in the map wizard? it doesnt say anything other than that in the user guide

As a last resort if you cannot figure it out then I would suggest putting the stock map sensor back in it. Then drive to the tuner and install the map sensor there. I have people do this all the time with map sensors and injectors when they come to see me.
i considered that, but unfortunatly when i wired it i disasembled the stock conector and soldered the new connector on. so to put the old sensor back on ill have to get new connector pins and cut out the perfect solder/heat shrink job i did, just to redo it all again, kind of a hastle.
can any one think of any problems i would have if i wired up both connectors at the same time and then just plug in the sensor i needed at the time and left the other unplugged?

there is no problem at all with having two connectors as long as you only have one plugged in at a time.. Its actually quite common to do it that way.
