Default 3bar map + AEM EMS

i have a quick question

does the GM 3 bar map sensor need to be calibrated into the AEM EMS??

my car ran perfectly with the stock map sensor, but as soon as i installed the 3 bar it wont even run. It starts fine but stalls after a second or two.
i disconected the vaccume line from the 3 bar map and it runs fine at idle... any ideas?

yes you need to change the map sensor voltage settings on the EMS.

Why do they even make you go through all the hassle? Why can't they be like other ecu's and be able to choose;
1 Bar
2 Bar
3 Bar
???????????????

They do have that. You do however have to re-scale the maps to run your desired boost levels.
