okay, so this is going to be the first time changing out the oil on my car.
What kind of oil do you guys recommend and what kind of filter?

also, I heard that NGK's are the best spark plugs for hondas, any suggestions?

btw, the engine is a gsr.

 

NGK plugs, OEM honda wires,OEM honda oil filter, and for oil, and valvoline/castrol 5-30 will work fine...no need for to go crazy with oil like royal purple if your motor is fairly stock...change your air filter why your at it

Plus dizzy cap and rotor, valve adjustment and seafoam...

this honda oil filter you speak of, can i get it autozone?

my air filter is the AEM short ram, i cleaned it by removing the filter off the intake and blew it out with pressurized air.

thanks for the advice.

 

no you have to get it through the dealer...well i guess autozone could order it for you through honda if you dont have local access to a dealer

Make sure to oil the filter again, if you don't, the filter will be useless in trapping dust and tiny debris.

You can only get the oil filter at your Honda dealership.

He probably has the dry flow AEM filter that comes with the short ram. AEM makes a dry flow air filter cleaning kit i think is around 10 bucks just like K&N but its not Oil. Regualr mobile oil is the best (besides Mobile 1 synthetic) with a puralator pure one oil filter has the best filtering, there was a thread on oil filters not to long ago, normal NGK plugs work the best.
