Default Performance Engine Mounts

I hear, thanks to accord94dx that you can upgrade your engine mounts, if so, what kind can i get and i will notice any peformance? My rear engine mount is fractured and need to be replaced, i guess it would be nice to replace it with one that would fix my problem and help in the performance area, thanks guys.

The rear mount you *MIGHT* be able to use off of an H23a1 or F22b2, I am not 100% sure.

What exactly is energy suspension, would i have to replace front and rear mounts? and how much does it run? Is the power noticible?

No power increase. You just create less havoc on the mounts, axles, etc from all the engine movement when you are shifting/launching etc. I noticed an increase cabin vibration at idle and much less wheel hop upon installing mine. I think it was $12 and I got it from summit racing. It is one of those mods to prevent more stuff from breaking.

Thanks dude, ill look into getting that once i get that rear motor mount fracture fixed, is that hard to install? I dont think it would from such a cheap price but you never know. Also my car is automatic, well it still do the same amount of protection? Thanks dude, sorry about all the questions.

You probably will not experience wheel hop with an automatic transmission. It is most common when the driver drops the clutch at a higher rpm and the tires skip across the ground due to soft suspension settings/weak motor mounts/bad tires/bad pavement/etc....

his DX is an f22b2, and im pretty sure the prelude/f22b2 rear mounts are the same part #.

Prothane makes a rear mount insert.
