Help with Electrical problem after retrofit: causing CEL
SETUP:
97 civic
fx35/gen3 matsushitas/phillip 85122+/harness made by CM
since installing the retrofit i've had 3 ecu chips fry on me. each time causing a check engine light which, when i check is a solid cel. this means my chip is bad(i'm self tuned on crome, running obd1 and i burn my own chips). I replace the chip with a new one and everythign works. Prior to the retro i never had a single chip go bad over 2-3 years.
I'm not electronic savvy so i dont' even know where to begin looking or what direction to go. nothing else seems to be affected, all other electronics and stuff still work, it's just causing my ecu chip to fry. The harness made by CM feed + and - right from the battery terminals. there's a fuse on the + side a relay, a male h4 plug to get hi/lo signal, a relay, then plugs for my ballasts and hi beam solenoids
I can provide whatever other information you need I would really appreciate the help
Thank you,
-Luke

problem seems to be resolved, and was NOT related to my recent HID retrofit.
my lc-1 wideband has a calibration reset button on one of the ground wires. this button was accidentally being held down by the ecu wires when i tucked it all back under the passenger kick panel. the lc1 also ties into my ecu grounds.
i fabricated a protector on the button to keep anything from pressing it and so far, no more solid CEL's
