i was going to get a turbo kit for my civic but on all the turbo pics i saw an exhaust manifold.
i was wondering if i need to put the exhaust manifold on my car so i can use the turbo.
cuz i have DC headers and i dont want to remove them.

so do i need to remove my headers so i can use the turbo or can i just run a turbo without switching the headers??

 

Sorry man, you have to remove the header. You'll need a turbo exhaust manifold to turbocharge your vehicle (or extensive modification). If you plan to go boost soon, you'll also not want to get a cold air intake (too late?). But turbo kits take a while to build, may as well have some naturally aspirated fun with the header while you're not boosted.

 

You need to remove your header and replace it with a turbo manifold. A turbocharger runs off exhaust gases. You're going to have to do a LOT more research before continuing with the turbocharging idea.

i do not have a CAI but i do have a short ram intake. does that matter???

and what do you mean by
