OK good relay no power to fuel pump fuses good so my car is a 92 civix dx stock auto and the park light and d3 light are both on which there fore its gonna crank and not start. BUt cant get the d3 light tried unpluggin from shifter and park light goes off in instrument cluster but d3 light stays on any idea whats going on!!

 

when i did my swap, i wasn't getting any spark or power to the fuel pump, but later found out that there was an extra wire that needs to be ground in the engine bay for it to work. when you turn the key to the on position, do you hear a clicking noise inside the car at all?

 

no clicking

 

i would say try to unlock bolt to the fuel filter if you are reading any gas, and for the no spark check the coil.

 

does your fuel pump prim? if not pull the pump and check the power and grounds on the pump. make sure they are tight and not corroted!

I hate the corrosion and loose ground on my civic, causing it not to prim.

 

You could do what i did and test the fuel pump to see if it's still working. What happens is you take out the back seat, and undernearth the seat should be a cover. Open that cover up, and you'll see some wires going to the fuel pump. I can't remember the wire colors, but one of them is power and one is ground.

I'd expose the power wire, turn my key onto the "on" position and wire another line straight from the battery to it. Now if you can hear the fuel pump prime than it's gotta be something else besides a bad fuel pump.

 

red = power
Black = Ground

or

yellow = power
black = ground on the fuel pump outter cover side

 

i have done all that.... checked power back to it none what needs to happen is in a safe mode the d3 drive 3 light is stuck all the time but park neutral still all go through so unplugged it by the shifter and d3 light still stays on i need to get that light on cause its acting likes its in d3 but its not and its actin like its in park there fore it cranks but is not gettin any power can anyone help me!!!
