Re: Help
Does the check engine light go off after a few seconds as the fuel pump primes it should-- the clik you hear is prolly the check engine going off. can you hear the fuel pump prime for a few seconds-it makes a low swirl sound and then stops-its waiting for you to crank the engine. If you go not hear it then check to see if you have power going to the pump on the blk with yel stripe wire-it should only be there as the fuel pump primes then it goes away.If you have no power there then check out your main relay it might have stopped working. Do you have a mulitmeter?

Re: Help
He’s asking when you turn the car to run and the check engine light comes on for a couple of seconds and turns off. This is basically the main relay priming the pump. If the light comes on and stays on your main relay is bad or going bad. It’s common on Honda’s of this vintage. This is not to be confused with the check engine being in while it’s running, this is just before you would crank it.

Re: Help
I'm guessing there is a previous thread about this. It would help to bump that up rather than start a new thread about the same problem and have to explain everything again.
Did you put new capacitors in your replacement ECU? They're all 25 years old now.

Re: Help
resolder the man relay, if your check engine light doesn't come on for a few seconds when you first turn the key on the CEL bulb is burned out or has been disconnected
This sounds 100% like a main relay
