What do you have in it now? You shouldn't use only water on a daily driven car. Make sure you have enough coolant in the hoses. I usually use a mixture of 30% coolant / 70% water since water dissipates heat faster than coolant does. I wouldn't run water only unless you are racing the car at an event and replacing the water with a coolant mixture afterwards. Coolant/Antifreeze acts as a lubricant for the cooling system. Make sure the car is warmed up when adding more coolant so the thermostat is open and make sure your heater is on hot so the coolant also runs through the heater core. Check your thermostat to make sure it opens. If the thermostat is fine, make sure you have enough coolant. If you have to regularly replace the water in the cooling system you may have a leak or the head-gasket is allowing coolant in the cylinders if you have smoke coming out of the exhaust. It wouldn't hurt to flush the system. It common for the car to cool when your driving since cool air is running through the radiator, but when your standing still the car is relying on the fan to get as much as it can through the radiator and sometimes its just sucking hot air through it. So there are a lot of things you can check for, but start with checking the coolant level and what is in there for now and get back to us. Again make sure the car is warmed up before you add more coolant and that the heater is set to hot.
hey thanks for all your guys help
ima just bring it to the shop and get a coolant flush and have them check me thermostat

just check ur coolant levels, here's a DIY.
1)pop hood
2)open radiator cap (front/passenger side of bay)
3)look inside
if it's good, end here, and check your radiator fan and it's fuse, and if those are ok check you're thermostat ($10 at autozone)
4)add coolant and put cap on and shut hood.

when i first got the car i open the cap and turn the car on and let it warm up, there was alot or air pockets, so i added coolant but its still doing it.

theres also a bleeder valve with a 12mm head on it, if you follow the upper hose toward the radiator you can find it, you can loosen that with the car running to get the bubbles out and ensure that its pressurized correctly.
