I just finished my b18c build. I have a walbro fuel pump in it, ive had the pump for about a week now. Yesterday when I dynoed and tuned my car as I was coming home I started hearing a loud hissing from the fuel pump it would go on and off, I check my fuel pressure and it droped all the way to 20 psi and come right back up to 45 over and over. Its a brand new pump and it already took a ****? Yes I have a new main relay. Has anyone had issues with walbro fuel pumps?

 

Check to make sure your fuel pickup sock is still in place etc...

 

Hmmm ..Well see the thing is that it wont start fuking up on me until ive been driving for awhile. When its cold it runs fine, but as soon as I drive for about 20 min it starts fuking up. Ill drop the tank again to make sure that the sock is still there though, its a good idea

 

FWIW, I've heard that there are some fake Walbro's being sold? bump for more info....
