Well we are waiting to find out what the new Street Stock rules for next year are going to be before we make any major changes. Rumor has it , they are going to allow swaps. But limit them to maybe 2.0L and no K's. If that is the case we may need to D-stroke one of our F motors. We are going to stay single cam with this car and the Pro car so we will see.

Its kinda funny when someone with a swap is in the next lane and they give that look as if they are going to win easily.. Then get broke off by a pink single cammed sedan... And with less money in the motor than their swap. I have less than $1600 into the motor.

It must be a bad *** feeling to have your wife whoop up on some people , especially with a 1.5L.

I am continously impressed with what you guys are able to do with single cams . .

Sure you can have mine. I will buy another setup of the same exact thing. Hard welded cutom ground Bisimoto camshaft, TWM manifold, and 45mm webers. All for less than $1600.

l over the winter we are going to really build a 1.5 for the car. So we will see if we can get more HP out of the little motor and kind of stay within a budget. Thanks for the kind words guys.

I hope the swap rule doesnt go into affect. Even though guys like Fran own that class, it would make the SS class almost the same as SP. So whats the point? So the guys that can't compete in SP come n run SS but then the guys that were running SS get pushed where? You get what I'm saying Don? Where will it end? And who will get left out?

Thats like us Street Comp guys saying, we should have a class for 11second n slower cars. Or better yet a turbo STREET TIRE class? .

What day you heading down to Woodburn Don?

SS class will be limited to displacement. Also no K swaps either. I think it will level the playing feild a little. I think if they were to limit the displacement to 1.8, MAYBE 2.0 it would make a great class. Then it becomes more of a drivers race. SP would be a class for the people who are fast but cant compete in the Pro classes.

Like I said , it is just in the talking stages now. So I am not sure what Frank and BOTI will end up doing. It will make the class much bigger and more competitive though.

Even limiting displacement is hard to do. If you do that, then you'll have to go by what the stamp on the block says. And what about the H22 guys? and various other cars that run larger then 2.0 stock? It's a real gray area and hard to deal with. I'm just glad I don't run that class .

I think this rule will only benefit civics with swaps and hurt integras with stock B's.

and I think we should throw out slicks in SS.

Also, if this rule goes into affect, yeah you'll have more cars in SS, but that's just because theres less in SP. (they're going to be racing SS).

Sorry Don, this is a post about your sweet 4dr, didnt mean to turn it into a debate on class rules.

This is all something they are working on right now. If they throw out slicks, then we will jump up to the SP class with an F powerplant. This is why we are waiting to see what is going to happen. I have an F and another d15 for next season for the sedan but I want to wait and see what changes will be made before I do anything.

yeah with nopi/nhra gone, I foresee alot of rule changes next year to accomodate the racers left without a series to run in.

The DC5 is way to heavy to be competitive in street performance. Oh well have to wait and see I guess

Well as of this year. Most of the top SS cars are running 12's. Even running times comparable to competing in the SP class. Last BOTI in the Finals, both cars went 12.15.
Although I believe that you should be ok in the SS class since it is not a swap. Even though it is a 2.4. I think BOTI is just not going to allow K swaps. But we will see what happens in the weeks after the last event in Fontana.
