Question
I have a 1992 Honda Accord EX 5 speed. My pro. is that when i get on the highway for about 5 miles the check engine light comes on and gives me a code 43 well i was told that a 43 was O2 so i changed it twice. It still ain't fixed i can drive around town all day and no light. I think that the cars exhaust is very rich it will burn my eyes if im back while its running. What controls the amount of fuel the car gets? I was also told that it was the IAC sensor but from reading on here its not. Any help would be great the gas mileage is KILLING ME!
Fresh NGK sparkplugs?
Valve adjustment?
FPR diaphram split? [raw fuel in vacum line]
Injector leakdown test?
code 43 actually means the O2 sensor is reading unburned oxides.
[engine running rich]

Thanks for info. The car was just tuned up plugs, wires, air filter. What is the FPR diaphram? Where is it located? How hard is it to replace? How much does it cost?

fuel pressure regulator =fpr
fuel pressure regulator =fpr
Check and make sure the 02 is properly connected. Since you're OBD1 if your disconnect your 02 or mess it up you could throw the car off and make it run funny (lean ot rich). Check the timing as well. G/L

I went and ordered the Fuel Pressure Regulator for the Honda. $64.99 I saw a video on youtube about the FPR. The examples he gave were what I was having. Will we see in the morning when part gets here.
