Which type of clutch to get: Metal or Kelvar?
I need to find out which type to get for a Action Dual Diaphragm with unsprung 6 puck disc.
Its either the metal or the kelvar, what are the pro's and con's of each?

Here is what I know based on several conversations with Rocket:
The metallic disk will hold more power, but it will engage harsher and will wear out over time. It also costs less.
The kevlar disk will hold less power (given that the pressure plate is applying the same force as a metallic disk), but it will last forever, and engagement will be very smooth. It costs more.
Rocket, please jump in if this is incorrect.

Sonny, that sounds correct to me. Though the metallic puck disc will not have a short life in general, it will be a little shorter than the Kevlar.
I got my stock clutch re-done in Kevlar for my turbo LS and that thing is ultra smooth (stage 5 PP) engagement, but I am still able to chirp 4th at highway speeds..... without the turbo !!! (It's not the best thing to do... but damn it's impressive) The clutch drives like stock almost, but can hold large amounts of power and is not as expensive as you think.... mine was under $200. For all around driving of a powerful car... my vote is KEVLAR. I have also met many domestic drivers that run the likes of supercharged stangs and other FI V-8's that run Kevlar on their daily drivers. Chirping/Spinning 3rd on the highway during a race is pretty intimidating if you think about it

you can get a CM stage 3 from boosting for $350 shipped. no throw-out bearing.
stage 3 is segement kevlar with high levage pressure plate.

I got it done at a local performance clutch shop... they specialize in high power handling for drag racers ... (You'd be amazed what you find out when you hang about the domestic folk awhile)
My costs ? Resurfaced clutch in Kevlar: $180, no core charge ClutchMaster's stage 5 Pressure Plate : $250 Little trick done to stock flywheel (it's a secret...sssshhh!) $80 That's $510 complete investment for a long lasting clutch assembly made to handle higher power apps.
...Prices may vary... LOL
