Default Carsound Cat 94006 OBDI Question...

I ask here because nobody in the tech forum responded... does this cat have bungs for a(n) o2 sensor(s). This is the one used for JDM header applications on EG/EK's right?

it is the one used. THat number has no bungs until it is custom made and has a bung added. 94106 I think is the one that comes with O2 bungs already on them

I thought OBD 1 cars don't have an O2 sensor on the cat?

For ODBII applications, you want...

94066 - EDIT - Already comes with o2 bung from Carsound so the retailers don't have to weld it on themselves and it's USDM length

94066 - Two o2 bungs, USDM length
Two o2 bungs? one for a wideband a/f in front of the cat material I assume? Unless you are using a header without an o2 bung you only need one on the cat.

Whoops, my bad. What I meant to say was that there is already an o2 bung on the 94066 cat. Actually, now that I think about it, take a look at my 94066...it looks like it does have 2 bungs on it.

TOmmy is right I missed the 1 part. WHy would you need a bung.

And yes 94066 for OBD2 for and R. Thought it was 94166 but that is for a GSR

did carsound change model numbers? 94006 with one bung added in the pipe after the cat works fine if you have the primary o2 in the header... but for OBDI just get a 94006 and don't have the bung added in the piping after the cat material.

How do you compensate for the almost two inches shorter cat?? An add-on piece of pipe? Adaptor??

I believe the 94006 never came with a o2 bung from Carsound. It was actually welded on by the sellers.

The stock ITR cat is 17 3/4"...my carsound is at 16 1/2". I think I got a bad apple since the carsounds needs to be 17" to be as close to OEM fit. I'm getting it replaced with a correct length cat soon.

94006: 2-1/2" 12" Body 16" OAL no bungs
94066: same as 94006 but with (2) O2 bungs
94106: 2-1/2" 9" body 13" OAL
94166: same as 94106 but with (2) O2 bungs

a "5" at the end would be a 2-1/4" and a "9" would be 3"

That's why I said "with one bung added into the pipe after the cat"

Yes but doesn't the JDM 2.5" header stick out about 1" futher back than the USDM header, so the cat has to be slightly shorter to fit between the JDM header and stock b-pipe? That's what I was told when I ordered mine (also slightly shorter than stock cat).

edit- scrap that just seen the last bit of your post, you expected it to be a bit shorter but not that much. I should read more carefully
