Can you help Troy?? - Need 2 springs from tranny!
So, this Thursday is Officially 3 months that I haven't had my car due to what should have been a two day at max ATS install.
The acura dealer has the case back on, but somehow, bent or lost the springs that hold the ball bearings on the side of the case.
My luck, the springs are on a national 3 week backorder. I've called my dealerships, no luck.
This will make the wait 4 months by the time I get the springs. Does anyone have these from a wrecked R, or a spare tranny. I'm so desperate.
Part #: 24452-PB6-020
I need two of these.
Thanks for any help. I would be so gratefull for ANY help.

Did you try http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.net ?
yo man, i'll check local yards on my day off, this friday.
actually...... we have an old D15 at our shop, lemme see what's in the tranny... brb.
D
edit - just go get some springs that are close in size from a hardware store... not an absolutly important item.. just holds the ball bearings against notches in the shift forks...

notchy is good.
Well seeing's how there are only three supply houses for all dealer parts, I think calling Barry at the local dealer here in Pitts is out of the question. However, I just happen to have a buddy with some extra tranny's laying around. Let me give him a call right quick!
Ok, we'll have the springs for ya...should ship out tomorrow. I just want to clarify one thing...
This is for the trans housing correct (should be two, both come with set screw, washer, spring, and steel ball)? If so the spring is 1.2 inches. There is also the same set up for the shift rod (which is a spring that is 1.01 inches). There is only one spring for the shift rod, but two for the housing. Let me know...so I know exactly which to ship to you.

hooray for the honda-tech forum!
This is the kind of thing that makes wading through all the idiot posts worth it.
Hey troy, I'm not going to be able to come down to c-bus this weekend, but have fun at the meet!

I am REALLY SORRY for the large pics, however I want you to be able to read the numbers. Troy, your part = 7. Is this the same as part 51 in helms? Need to know...looks like it may be the same.
