crx electrical problem???

Default crx electrical problem???

ok heres the deal at times when the lights are off and everything whenever i press on the brakes the temp gauge goes all the way up then down.......when i turn the lights on and press on the brakes the rpm just dies and temp goes all the way up......now when i turn on the lights/hazards/heater....smoke starts to come in from the dash.............any ideas or clues on what it can be????????? thanks

the brake the temp and the rpm guage I had that same problem a month ago my ground from the frame to the valve cover had come loose. The smoke coming from the ac I have no clue but definatly check you grounds

that was my first thought too cause seriouslly the wire looks all shitty..............i know if it looks shitty fix it and that is what imma do first..........thanks man for the tips

the wiring behind your dash/cluster is shorting out on itself.

pull all that **** out and start finding the burnt/bare wires that are touching each other and wrap them or replace them.

mine did the same thing after i put a header on and like you said it was a missing ground on the engine,not the valve cover but still in all check it out

it is a short to ground behind the dash thats the only thing that would cuase it to burn

if it's not a short behind your cluster, then you have a wire somewhere else grounding out on the chasis.
