I'm gonna piggy back this thread cause I need a new one too. I heard Exedy makes Honda OE clutches...is this true? My clutch is making a nasty ticking sound and I think it's gonna die. I was looking at the Exedy Performance Organic kit for my D16

Anyone have this or could you suggest something else in the same price range? Thanks a lot.

Yes, exedy makes honda's factory clutches, maybe not all of them but some, when I pulled my stock clutch out it had exedy's name on it. I had an exedy cerametallic clutch in my prelude, it was slipping in 7 months!!! I am sure exedy makes a good clutch but my experience with them was negative.

ACT redid some of their kits. I used to want to get an Exedy clutch, but I will opt for a Stage 2 ACT when the time comes.

I have a friend that works at a repair shop and they have an account with some distributor that carries Exedy. I get them at cost and tax free But nevertheless, without the hookup I would still probably get one.

which clutch do you have? the oe replacement or one of the 2 "racing" models. they make organic and metallic discs with upgraded pressure plates on their "racing" models. oe replacement is only 100 bucks shipped...

i love mine! grabs everytime, good feel to it. not too heavy but just enough to feel the grab. not numb like oem clutches. as i understand, they sell them for around $250 now. thats a hellava deal.
