Default Going Turbo Doing The Fit Up..

So I started the turbo project and I have some issues already in the first step of course... Straight to the point the turbo is basically sittin on the front engine mount and the drain port is sitting right over it... Also the downpipe does not fit between the frame and the oil pan!!! Here are sum pictures, n e suggestions???
I know theres a FI forum but posting there didn't do n e thing for me...

Buy Explicit Speed mounts and traction bar setup. You will then be able to remove the front mount alltogether.

you will need to eliminate the front mount all together....don't get those poly inserts get some innovative mounts which are so strong you won't need the front mount.
Also will help you with wheel hop.

Now for the downpipe, some people have done an S curve and used the stock crossmember with some pie cuts.......you can either get a traction bar which is basically a thinner crossmember and have plenty of room or just notch and reweld your crossmember.

also for the mounts i wonder if you could cut the front mount bracket to get the oil return through.....wounds need better pics.

Looks like youu got the manifold and downpipe together....what brand are they?

how's the wastegate fit??

good luck with everything

So I won't need a front engine mount if I get aftermarket Side engine mounts...? Is that safe? I was wondering about that... hmmm... Explicit Speed or Innovative Sound mounts? Traction bar too? Where can I get this stuff for my H23a...?

You guys have been much help! Its all turbonetics... I have to weld the waste gate dumptube... I also have a P72 S300 with boost control and RC 660 injectors... Can't wait!!!

You don't need to buy anything for your engine...these parts are for the chassis.

Get some Innovative H-series replacement mounts (both sides and rear) in whatever stiffness you like, and get a traction bar setup from either ExplicitSpeed or PFI Performance in Colorado. Our moderator PrecisionH23A is also producing traction bars but I do not know the status of them as of now...they might be for sale already?

HAHA...... nah, he got married and got too busy with other **** and being suzy home-maker.....

But what these guys already said is what you need to do, get some solid mounts and the ESP traction bar, you can probably work something out with John at ESP if you get his mounts at the same time..... I always feel like i'm calling my friends parents house when I call there...... "Yea explicit speed?".... "hold on".... "JOOOOOOHHHHNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!" lol.....

Get those two, you'll be good to go. OR...... you could sell that manifold and get something that fits with the stock mount/cross member.

I'd get the Explicit Bar, and if theres room get there front torque mount as well. I can't tell by the pics but it takes up less room then a regular front engine mount. I've had problems with the rear engine mount taking its toll on the tranny case when not running the front mount. I won't run without one again.

interesting point, you could just get the traction bar and use the stock mounts since the traction bar has an option for it's own type of front mount. Then no need for aftermarket mounts, although if you have the money they would be the way to go.

like this:

so you can either get the traction bar w/torque mount or modify your downpipe (may need to notch the crossmember but not necessary)

As for oil drain issue- it's possible to fabricate the stock mount that it will give some way for the drain.
DP- I have managed to route it the way it doesn't collide the crossmember- 3" BTW wraped with rather thick insulation wrap. Play with it a bit. And then find a good welder to route it precisely.
