Default Oil Jets

Hi, I'm looking at buying a AP1 S2000, But i have heard that the Ap1s have problems with there oil jetters or something and they fail to supply oil to the rods. Is this true? Also anything else to worry about with the AP1s that I would need to change? Thanks in advance

the my00 year and its only like the first 5730 that were made or something like that im not exactly sure. buts its not problem you go get the better ones at the dealer and replace them. All you got to do is drop the oil pan unscrew the old screw in the new its no biggy. The only thing is the #1cylinder is a bitch to do cause the oil pump is in the way so it gives you trouble threading it back in straigh you just have to be patient.

ya, if its really a problem, i wouldnt mind spending a few hours putting new jets in, changing the oilpan gasket and misc other stuff to so it wouldnt damage anything in the future. Also can you guys tell me anything else I should be changing or worried about? Also what should I look out for when purchasing one

What year oil jets should I consider buying for a similar 2000 model S2000?

My mechanic has told me that the oil jets are not a big issue as most people make them out to be ...

except on CERTAIN tracks - the ones with very long straightaways/sweepers, where the engine will be operating at a constant high RPM with high g forces affecting it.

They do not make the 2 hole bolts anymore so just tell the dealer you want the bolts for your year.

The part # is: 15290-PCX-000
There 12$ a pop at Majestic Honda.

^ if u over rev the **** out of it the retainers might crack and ull have no idea and then later down the rode you might end up droping the a valve so its a good idea to check yours and if any are cracked replace them with the ap2 retainers and keeprs.
