Default Can't get more then 20 psi of fuel pressure. Help.

Im posting here cause im getting no help in the Accord forum. My girl has a 95 accord with a built H22. It started missing and bogging down on her. I noticed her fuel pressure gauge was reading 0. So primed it a couple times and it wasn't going over 20 psi and it dropped down to 0 pretty much right away. I replaced her fpr and turned it up as high as it would go and it wouldn't go over 20 psi. I replaced her fuel filter after I found out it was atleast 6 years old. Didn't help. Next I threw in a different set of injectors incase one was stuck open. Didn't help. It's a stock fuel pump but I have never heard of a fuel pump slowly going out. I have always seen them just stop working.

What are the chances that it is the fuel pump?

Car was tuned on Neptune by SuprDave at Whip Factory. Made 194 whp and 164 tq. The car had a DC **** box headed at the time and a AEM V2 for an f22 which was super tiny. I have replaced the headed with a USDM 95 Prelude VTEC header which made a HUGE differance. I then replaced in V2 with a regular AEM cold air for an H22 and that added a ton of power. I gaurantee the car is at 205 whp and a even bigger torque jump. If u floor in first through third it cuts them loose now without touching the clutch. She's getting a SMSP or RMF header this winter as soon as were done with her booster Del Sol LS/VTEC project (search my posts for the build thread if ur board).

The car was tuned on a stock fuel pump so I'm worried that a Walboro is gonna throw **** off. Should I get her a high or low pressure? She has a new stye AEM FPR so I should be able to control the fuel pressure. I'm worried about running a low pressure cause of the pressure issue she's having.

If anyone wants to know the setup it's
H22a
Sk2 valves, valve springs, and retainers
Sk2 stage 2 cams
Rosko racing Euro R intake Manifold
BDL fuel fail
AEM FPR
Stock injectors
Endyn pistons
Eagle rods
Sleeves
Bla bla bla

This is her DD and her fun car is down right now so we really need to get it running asap.

I'm just tryng to include as much about her car as possible to help out.

Probably either the fuel pump or a blockage of some kind in a line. I would throw a Walbro 255 in the tank and see if that fixes it, they aren't too expensive.

She has one for it. I just never got put in. I'm dropping the tank tomorrow. I put the stethescope (spelling) on the fuel line and I can hear what sounds like gas trickeling out. I did the same. I checked a couple other Honda's here and they all make a rushing sound. I'm wondering if there's not a leak in the short line between the pump and the mount for the pump.

Added some more details about the car. I have a Walboro pump laying around but I can't remember if it's a high or low pressure. I'm putting it in tomorrow and I'm cutting a access hole in the car to make it easy to get to. Should I have her get a high pressure cause that pump we have was gonna go in the Del Sol and switch them out again later? Or is the high pressure gonna be over kill for the Accord? I just figured that because it's fighting pressure issues it's worth a shot.

Everytime I've had fuel pressure that drops off very quickly it has been leaking from somewhere.

It has to be inside the tank. It's not leaking anywhere in the open. I have seen that fuel line burst inside the tank.

So I got it fixed. The fuel pump had fallen out of the little cradel that holds it. The line that comes off pump was disconected and just resting on the bung on the on top of the pump. It was hanging by the plug and the bottom of the pump was out of it's little mount. I threw in a Walboro 255 low pressure i had laying around. It's running better then it has in a very long time if not ever. The tach is jumping around now but I'll have to crack open the dizzy and coil wires that a friend of hers hacked.

Thanks everyone for all your help. I almost shat myself when insaw the pump just hanging there. Anyone ever seen it happen? I put a zip tie around the new pump and the brass holder thing so it can't happen again.
