Ok i'm new to the Honda scene. I have a s13. But I have a question for everyone here, and i'll keep searching. I just bought a 95 base model hatch. I am going today to get a H22a block today. And the 16k?? I'm getting 16 thousand from my tribe and am willing to dump all of it into the motor since it's free money and I have a good paying job as well. I dont' want to turbo it, I want it to be all motor no juice either. What would you suggest I buy? I want to be making at least 400whp if possible. What brands do you think are best? Also can you bore the block?? I'm getting it honed soon but if I can bore it I would like to do that too. All help is appriciated thanks.

400 hp all motor. woot woot. Iunno, but with all motors you will probably need to resleeve the block, bore it out as much as you can, get the highest compression piston, or get a stroker kit. Racing fuel is a must, the most aggressive cam out there. blah blah, you will have to do alot of research. Or just drive to speed factory and tell them you want the best all motor and theyll make it for you since your pockets are deep. Ughh I wish I was indian.

 

with 15k i would be thinking turbo right off the bat...i know you want A/M which is great thats what im currently running but with just under 13k to make a 218whp gsr, i was a little disapointed....if i would have spent it on boost id be makin well over 400.....granted you will be able to have more displacement than me, but dont be suprised when you dont achieve anywhere near the numbers you thought you were going to...and also i have to run on cam2 100 which is 8.19 a gallon so i barely drive it anymore...just my opinion

 

Thanks guys, i'll continue searching. And this will only be a track car, I don't street race. Oh, and what about ITB's. I saw one hatch at my local track a while ago with a k20 (I think) with ITB's, was running 10's consistantly.

How about you build & boost the H22 and run about 500whp daily, then bank the rest.

You may not need the money now, and it may be free money now, but it's stupid to dump it all into a civic's engine in one shot, IMO.

Do a nice build, then invest it. You never know when you'll want something more and that $$ will come in handy.

 

do h2b in a hatch bro, you'll be quick or not boost a b seires or all motor k20.
