Default Import Werks Autobody & Paint in Stockton

I saw their ad on Craigslist & they seem to have decent prices so I'm planning on taking my car over to them but I would like some feedback on their work if anyone has gone thru them for paint, bodywork or ITR conversion...Thanks in advance.

Two people I know had there cars painted by them and both came out bad one took 2 weeks longer than expected and painted stuff that wasn't and reverse. The other they got paint on almost every window molding and door seals and even [freak]ed up a headlamp that got paint on it by putting laquer thinner on it and [freak]in it up. So its up to you.

damn that sucks..which stage did they get? I think they have like 3 stages..
Stage 1 - $600 --single stage
Stage 2 - $1000 --dual stage
Stage 3 - $1500 --what they call their "Show car status" paint job??

I hope they didn't pay $1500 for the work they got done.

With any paint job that is cheap, you're better off pulling off all the moldings and etc that you don't want paint or overspray on. In the end, it'll come out cleaner because they won't end up taping it up and have paint leak through.

Yeah I don't know what stage they got. But my brother said when he went up there to pick up my friends car that they painted he said he went there 2 times to pick it up and they weren't there twice. They looked like they where going to rob him and his wife so he got the car and took it even though it didn't have the tailights in it and drove it somewhere he could install them because they where to skiddish around him.

Werd. You get what you pay for. Supplies aren't cheap nowadays and doing paint and body work ain't easy either. Paint shops also face competition. They may have low prices, but they have to tackle more work to make up for money they're losing out on. Sometimes that effects the quality of the work.

I agree with both of these comments, but you'd expect the shop to at least properly mask everything off. Not like hondas are anything new to them and they're not sure what does and doesn't get painted on the body.

I did read the quote dumbass. "PAINT SHOPS ALSO FACE COMPETITION" which means you should make yourself stand out more by not only offering a good price, but excellent service and work. You gotta make yourself stand out in a good way. People shouldn't have to pay more for masking off moldings and other pieces that aren't supposed to be painted. And if supplies aren't cheap now a days, then don't use more paint than you have to.
