this first occurred in april. my speedometer and my alternator stopped working. i chose to just replace the alternator and not check the fuses. when i put the new alternator in the car i still had no charge. i then checked my fuses and my it was blown(the fuse is for the alternator and speedometer,7.5). due to time issues my dad did a quick fix by running a jumper wire(with a fusable link) straight from my alternator to my fuse box somewhere. the fuse on my fusable linke would blow like once every 1.5 mon. as of last week the fuse on my jumper wire blows every 3 days. so know im lookin to fix the problem. a tech at my shop that iwas talking with told me that its common on my car for there to be a short in the harness. he suggested i cut that harness open and look for it. i just wanted to get some opinions before i go through with it. i have good dvom but i dont know how to use it.
imo i would find someone who actualy knows this before doing anything, if you eff something up, well ur screwed, but if he eff's something u can make him fix it.
