alternator fuse blows!!!!

alternator fuse blows!!!!
my ek is blowing the alternator fuse! i just put the key in on i dont turn the motor over and the battery lights comes on for not even a second and the fuse blows out!! anyone got any advice? can it be something other than a short? and my speedometer doesnt work

The alternator and speedometer are on the same fuse. I'm having the same problem as you. Has your car's harness been hacked up recently? or alarm installed ect.? check to make sure your VSS is plugged in, mine did the same when it was unplugged or halfway plugged. Hopefully your problem turns out to be something simple

This same thing happened to me. It ended up being a short. I had a short in my o2 sensor harness. I hope this helps a little. Good luck!
