I got my JDM cluster up and running fine, but there are still items on the JDM SiR cluster that are not used, and I'd like to customize them. For example, the Low Fuel Light, the Overheated Cat Light or that |O| symbol (whatever that is).

I'm a car wrenching newbie, but can follow instructions or diagrams very well. Can you please help with the following:

I want to wire the Low Fuel Light to my fuel cutoff switch so that it will illuminate when the switch is activated. I already got my fuel cutoff switch to work from the writeup in the FAQ.

Secondly, I want to use the Overheated Cat Light or the |O| Light as a VTEC light.

I already figured out the pin locations for the above lights on the JDM cluster, but I don't know if it's just a matter of splicing wires directly to them. Don't want to start a fire or fry up the entire dash, you know. I know these are ricey mods, but I just need something new to work on when the car is not at the track.

You can splice into them but remove the keys from the ignition.
