jrsc or turbo. help
i have a 97 integra gs-r with about 50k on it. and im looking at either purchasing a JRSC or a GReddy Turbo Kit and then getting the intercooler for it also. My car is a daily driver and if something ***** up im screwed so I do want reliability but I also want good power. Now I know your gonna say greddy kit doesn't produce good #'s.. but I could care less. I just want good power and reliability and I've narrowed it down to these two options. And I don't want to hear the myth that SC's are less work. I wanna hear from people who have had either or ... or know people with them. I just need some answers... and where else to ask then the FI forum at H-T
I just need some answers...

But if you want a fun car, either one will be ok at around 6-8psi. Im more biased towards turbo, but the jrsc is not that bad. If it didnt have so hot intake temp. then I might consider one, but if they ever came out with a intercooler it might be worth the time. I'll let falcongsr answer this one since he has had both, well several on here have.

thanks for the replies so far. im just wondering if getting the jrsc is worth the $$ or whatever. i heard it's not. then again ... rumors.
plus from an engineering standpoint, its not a very effective way to make more power on our engines. just not effecient enough (for me).

Asking for opinions about superchargers in this forum is like asking for George Bush campaign contributions at the Democrat National Convention! Just kidding. I love all my turbo brothers (and sisters).
Seriously though, I have had my JRSC for about a year and a half and have had no problems, with the exception of a pesky tip-in detonation gremlin that is not surprising in a hot climate. I plan on installing bigger injectors and a Hondata soon, so hopefully that problem will be solved.
Anyway, I can't speak to the daily drivablility and maintenance/reliability of turbos, but I do like my supercharger. If you feel like you have to beat everything on four wheels though, you better go turbo.
