Ok so the other day i was driving my car around and everything was fine, i took it to the car wash it was fine. I let it sit, and i went to go drive it, now the car idles like hell, and the car will not rev past 3,200 RPM. I mean you could have the car floored and it sounds like you have launch control or something. The car is a D15b2 if that helps. What could be causing this problem, also there is no check engine light on.
ANY HELP PLEASE.
Thanks guys.

-Like teh dizzy...
-Had the same problem when i was doing my swap for the second time..Had my buddy wire up the car wouldn't rev past 3k... I believe i was throwing the crank angle sensor code though...

i guess ill have to check into the dizzy then, i don't even know what happened to the car, i went to the car wash, it was fine, parked it then went to start it up, and it wouldn't rev past 3,200rpm
my car when it rains out sputters and then when im past 3 grand it will run fine... but what i think it is, is the water is getting down to the spark plugs or to the distributor spark plug wire end...

Have you checked to see if you're ECU is displaying any codes? With an OBD0 car you've got to pull out the ECU and look at a flashing light through a little hole. I don't know if it possible for the ECU to be throwing a code without the engine light coming on but maybe your engine light is broken. Just an idea.

99% sure i figured out the problem, for the hell of it i took out my ECU today just to check it, i have a VAFC on the ECU as well, im pretty sure one of the wires came loose and i just put it all back together and it started right up. Not hesitating at all and revs over 3,200 RPM. Im going to take it for a test drive tomorrow, ill let you all know if that was for sure the problem.
Thanks for the help everyone!

whats the VAFC? does it have something to do with cooling? Im getting same problem but its throwing a code 4 crank position sensor, brand new distirbutor. any idea's
I'm having the same code come up also. But I replaced the distributor. And reset the cpu and the code went away but still won't rev
I had the same problem I switched out the mass air flow sensor and it was still doing it so I switched out the ignition coils and it seems to have solved the problem
