REV Addict!!!
I am a rev addict. I have a problem. I love the sound of an engine roaring, screaming, whatever you wanna call it. I constantly push my civic to the limit. I'll take on anything. The car is at like 6000 r.p.m.'s constantly. Everyone is like "you are abusing your car" but the way I see it, I'm not abusing anything, I'm just using the car to its full potential. I'm not afraid to try anything in it. And in the Accord, thats even worse. I love flooring the car also. Sure my miles per gallon drop to about 3 m.p.g. but I don't care. Are there any others else like me out there. If not then I'll just go get pshycological help.

I have that problem too......the thing is with a tanabe RM, my car tends to attract too much unwanted attention. ie, cops.
The other day I did miss shift and rev up to about 8500-8600....boy, it sounded sweet! Good thing nothing broke!

Re: REV Addict!!! (spyder)
I'm not used to the clutch activated launch limiter yet. I need to go to the track again to try out some other methods with the launch limiter. I was just dropping the clutch and adjusting the launch rpms.
But I do LOVE the full throttle shift. Shifts are now so precise and quick. I almost never get chirps in second now, which is nice because before I used to peel out going into second quickly.(less attention from cops and such) I haven't hooked up the CEL shift light. I don't feel I need it. Oh yea, adjustable VTEC is nice too. Plus fuel maps out to 9000! Not that I need them yet.

Haven't ever broken anything yet, but I don't really care TOO much about my current engine, just wanna have a little fun with it. Before too long I will be running LS/Turbo. Now THAT sucker I'm gonna be careful with!

Re: REV Addict!!! (Veil_Side_)
The only thing that broke on mine was the stock exhaust manifold/cat combo on my 97 DX. I guess the constant WOT takes its toll after 99000 miles. Now it has headers, an EX cat underneath and B pipe and muffler from an Si. Works for me.
Is anybody ever afraid of breaking anything or has broken stuff in the past racing or something?
