replacing the lower ball joint on my 89 si

Default replacing the lower ball joint on my 89 si

ive got the wheel and brakes off but now im trying to free the knuckle from all its joints. im pounding on the end of the upper ball joint and the end of the tie-rid end and they arent budging. any suggestions?

You need a bigger hammer and/or a longer stroke on the hit. Typically of all my friends who work on thier cars, I am usually the only one that can seperate the balljoints lol. I am 250 and 6'1".

nice. got em to pop, now the spindle is giving me hell.

any tricks?

what do you need to mess with the spindle (hub) for to replace the balljoint?

you leave it alone.

i need to mess with yhe spindle "for to" replace the balljoint.....uhhhh ill put it in my own words. it was stuck inside the hub, i just had to bash it out. its done, works fine. thanks it for you help for.
