Default Crank Pulley?

So someone was telling me that on my turbo setup in my B16, that i shouldnt go with a lightweight crank pulley. They said i should be using my stock one or an OEM one. Thoughts?

The OEM crank pulley is also a harmonic balancer. If you run a lightweight pulley it wont have the rubber in it to absorb vibration. Without that harmonic balancer you introduce some vibration into the crank, not really something you want to do. If it were me i'd stick to OEM, but its your call ultimately.

use an oem pulley. lightweight and without the balancer can damage the gear in the oil pump. just get and pulley off a stock motor
