2.25" piping and ITR muffler on a stock DX?

2.25" piping and ITR muffler on a stock DX?
If I got some custom 2.25 piping and put a modded ITR muffler on my stock DX hatch would I loose performance or gain performance? Also, I'm planning on doing a swap someday, and when I do would I have to get my exhaust totally redone or would the custom piping I did now work with the new enginge?

it will help in performance make sure you use a resonator or it will sound very raspy i am not just telling you this so you will buy it trust me
