For the S2K's running a NA 300zx Rear.
I own a 300zx twin turbo. Ive spoken with alot of S2K owners who make good power and swear up and down the NA 300zx rear is almost unbreakable. Let it be known they are VERY strong but when you make over 550lbs of tq they dont stand a chance. So in other words 9-10 s2k owners will NEVER come close to that kind of tq but just wanted this to be known this can be broken and will with traction. This rear end blew up with out launching on a sticky tire,

Wow I didnt know s2k guys were running r200's.
There must have been something else going on for you to destroy that diff like that. Wheel hop or maybe those spongy diff bushings. Dont you have a Z? Weight couldve been a issue also.
All of the 8,9,10 sec 240's have been doing wonders with r200's without failure like that. Ive cut 1.4's to 1.5's all day long with it.
Good job

I would blame the lack of a sticky tire.. we cut a 1.30 60' on slicks and a 1.37 on a drag radial with the r200 rear and went 8.60s on a stock J30 rear.

I'd like to know how your friend got his car to 3100lbs?
Mine is completely empty with an SR20 swap and i'm around 3000lbs!
