power windows dont work but power locks work. need help.
On my 94 del sol i was trying to wire up a map light on the passenger side door panel. I was trying to tap power from one of the 3 orange wires that plug into the window switch thats attached to the door panel. Anyways I could not get power from them even with a voltmeter I only see .14 volts and its not constant. So i put everything back the way it was and now none of my power windows work. But my power mirrors work just fine from the panel. I checked all the fuses and they seem fine too. Anyone know what else to check for? Thanks in advance!

Both my windows stopped working, turned out to be a short. Try taking off the panels and messing with the wires, use a test light and hunt it down. I have to take my whole door off lol
damn what a pain in the *** that must have been. I checked all the fuses and they look fine. Also I tested the relay on a friends car and it works so now I am thinking it has to be the master switch.
check to make sure the switch AND motor are getting power if both are then check your reg cuz i had the same problem with the one window not working and the other does and i found out my reg was bent badly and i cant even push it up or down so i no the motor wont be able to do it.. hope that helps
bizump! i checked the plug that plugs into the master switch. only one wire going to it gets like .40 volts for some reason. at the fuse box under the dash all the window fuses are getting power. im stumped...

That sums it up. I recommend NOT probing for things without knowing what you are probing. You might end up spending a bunch of money that you shouldn't need to spend.
Looks like you need to take the car to a shop, preferably the dealer to have diagnosed.
