Not an exhaust that people talk about on thios board much, but I really like my Thermal research. The tip looks better than any N1 style exhaust, it's loud but not buzzy and fitment was perfect.
You can get them in both a 2.5 for NA and a 3" for forced induction vehicles.

Then BC Spec II is your answer.
Yeah, if you want an annoying *** car. ****, to get one just as annoying just run open header, same difference.
open header=power? c'mon guys... think.
We were talking about open header. Talk to Dave(SMSP).
I'm sure you're speaking from experience, and I'm interested to see why you don't think open header makes power.
Go with the GT1.0Z, it doesn't have the big tip and the tip doesn't sticking out as much.
Also, the lighter wegith of the GT1.0Z will give you performance advantage over the BC Spec 3.

Open header does yield more power over a catback.

It all depends on your application... Open header does yield more power at high rpms which for racing would be good.. but this guy is looking for a street exhaust, and I'm sure he wants to feel some torque down low... I don't have time to argue about this... I have tried multiple setups and talked to many people... I am using a JDM 4-1 header/Carsound Cat/BC Spec II cat-back on track for several reasons... which include limiting noise levels as well as power in different rpm ranges. Tell you what... ignore my posts and do what you like.
believe it or not, a proper sized exhaust piping will aid in producing MORE power, than an open header. the piping increases exhaust velocity, which produces a scavenging effect that helps to draw more exhaust out, more efficiently.
now, you are correct that this varies per application. however, this refers to Turbo or non-Turbo, not High End or Low End power. The reason why your open header may have outperformed the cat-back is cuz, like you said, no restrictions - no backpressure. However, I'm betting that an adequately sized straight pipe with no resonator and no muffler (no restriction) will produce better gains than your open header.

Same info I have learned from Dave(SMSP) and actually backed up by trial and error... and this is why I run what i do on track... as well as the previously mentioned reasons... but, don't listen to me... talk to Dave yourself.. and try a few setups out and see what you think.

On what experience are you basing this statement?
