Alrite long story short i live in lake county where we do emissions testing i bought the car from indianapolis where they dont do emissions when i bought the car the kid "forgot" to tell me about all this i went to get it emissions tested and it failed hardcore: The check engine light is supposed to be on and isnt and its throwing these codes:
1. PO135-O2 Sensor heater circuit malfunction(bank 1 sensor 1)
2. PO141-O2 Sensor heater circuit malfunction(bank 1 sensor 2)

can anybody help me at least get started on fixing this to pass emissions or let me know of any tricks to skim by??

o2 heater problems are real easy to fix, when you are looking at the 02 you will see 4 wires two of which are the same color and are the heater wires. with the vehicle cold start it up and take your multimeter and red lead on one and black lead on the other and if you see battery voltage on your meter than all you have to do is replace sensor. a o2 heater is just like a cigerette lighter takes power supply and a good ground and heats up the exhaust to get it up to 600 degrees so it can funtion properly. thats why you have to do it while it is cold cause if the car is already warm then then computer will take away the ground and it wont work.
