Default Question about the D16z6 9:1 JE pistons

Mine don't have valve reliefs they are just flat topped is that ok? or was i screwed over?

Without a doubt that piston doesnt look right,almost looks unfinished but it should be no problem for a machine shop to fly cut the valve reliefs into them if the rest of the piston is within specs for a D16Z......what compression are they suppose to be?

Why don't you call JG and ask them? Once you have a machine shop do anything, there's no money back if indeed, they did screw up...

What comp did your motor have stock? If it's higher than 9:1 and has valve reliefs, maybe these don't have them because they sit lower and don't need them? Or maybe I'm just talking out of my ***...

Mine don't look like that. I have 9:1 JEs, but they are slightly dished and have valve reliefs.

I'll try to take a pic when I get home if you need it. They are already in the block so I can only take the pic from the top.

with je printed on the wraper, it looks like you picked them up from a burger joint. sorry not much help. something is wrong i think even the deap dish 8:1 has valve releafs.
