3 cylinders! wiring problem?
i got a freshly rebuilt ls-vtec in my ef and it isnt running in cylinder 4.
when i remove spark from cylinder 4 it runs no differently.
but when i remove fuel from cylinder 4 the motor completely dies.
i have full compression.
what can this be please help.

Explain how you're doing that. Are you pulling the injector connector?
Its prob just a bad injector.

I'm not sure why it dies. The ECU may just be killing the engine when it doesn't see the signal from the injector anymore. If that hole isnt running, removing the injector should not make any difference.
It must be something to do with either the ECU or the wiring. But from the wiring diagram each wire basically has its own path to the ECU for grounding so there isnt a common or series connection here.
Do you have a multimeter or noid light to check the injector and make sure its getting injector pulses? Check the resistances in the fuel injector resistor box also. Can you measure the resistance between the #4 injector pin on the ECU connector harness and the ground side of ther #4 injector clip? All we really want to see is continunity, and nothing excessive in terms of resistance.
If all that is fine, it may be a bad ECU. Btw are you going OBD-0 or OBD-1, and which ECU?

well when i unplug the other clips it still runs just rough.
and i already tryed other ecu's and the only thing that happened was it starts right up instead of taking a while. both ecu's are chipped p28

It sounds like a wiring issue. No reason why it should be dying if you pull the fuel from an inactive cylinder. So just check the stuff I mentioned earlier about the wiring. Do you have the resistor box? You technically shouldnt with this swap, and you should be using saturated injectors if u arent.

i dont have a resistor box but what is the plug that wires from the injectors go to. the one that has the removable plastic piece on it.
