ok so my set up has been in the car and running for years. all of a sudden yesterday strated running on 3 cylinders. changed plugs started the car. still runnin on 3. pulled the plugs and cylinder 4 has no soot or anything on the fresh plug. I leave the plugs out and crank the motor and cylinder 4 shoots a fire hose worth of fuel out.

all I can figure is a stuck injector. is there anyway to test it while in the car and anyway to un-stick it? could it be a distributor issue? the cap is mint and plug sounds like it is firing. they are precision 1000cc injectors btw. Any ideas?

 

switch the injector to another cylinder, if it moves to the other cylinder, replace the injector.
If it stays with cylinder4 then it's something else.

 

is there anything else it could be? I was just driving the car. not beating on it at all so no reason to just lose a cylinder not to mention even if it lost compression it would still have carbon on the plug from it firing
