I got a chipped ecu from phearable.net for the basemap, and another 27SF512 chip to tune, i'm trying to erase the chip with my rom burner and Moates.net Flash&Burn, but it wont erase OR program my new basemap. Anyone have any ideas?

 

Make sure the 27SF512 chip is selected.
Start in hex should be 008000 using the flash & burn software.

 

 

erase it. close flash and burn. reopen flash and burn. blank check.

We have never had any issues with the SST 27SF512 chip.
Did you accidentally damage the chip ?
Do you have another chip you can try to make sure your burner is working properly ?

 

only other chip I have is the one in my ecu thats in use right now, dont want to erase that one, LOL

tried it, no go

 

maybe chip is faulty. change it its just 5bucks

 

the only time I've seen that happen is when the chip is in the burn1 incorrectly, or not in the burn1 at all. (I get in a hurry some times)

 

yah. my new chip came in today n works, so.. now i just gotta figure out how to get this ostrich to work!~!
