Axle Stretching and Breaking Stock D16a6
When in 1st gear and giving throttle and letting off the clutch, the axle starts to stretch out of the boot where it is connected to the transmission but the axle transmission piece stays in the transmission, is it a bad gear?! why would this happen? does anyone know?
Inner Joint is bad, broken or was put together wrong if it's a remanufactured axle. Have to take it out to see what's really going on. Can you do that yourself? To bad I don't live down there anymore, I'd come help. <- Grew up in Rockdale (20mins IIRC) as a kid... many many years ago

Exactly. I've had my share of poor remanufactured axles. Last year I was handed one for the EF that was EF shaft, outter joint but some totally wrong inner joint. The shell didn't fit down onto the bearings allowing this same situation. Luckily I caught it before I tried to drive; not that I'd go anywhere at that time (Open Differential - Before I got the OBX LSD)

Yep, its a reman. They kept on telling me that there was nothing wrong with them and wouldnt take it back. ive popped 5 axles already each one was a reman. ill buy a brand new axle and see if its still going to pop. thanks for all the help i was freaking out because i had no clue wtf was wrong and everytime it would get pulled out of the boot it would cause ridiculous camber.
