Muffler rattle
I just bought a used catback and after i installed it, there is a rattling sound in the muffler. It sounds like theres rocks in there or something so i took off the muffler and shook the muffler to see whats inside. It feels as if theres alot of sand and a few rocks or something. Do u you guys know what i can do about this or did i just blow a couple bills on something broken
+It rattles the loudest around 1.5k rpm
update:found out the rattling sound is mainly coming from the exhaust itself rattling. Anyone have any suggestions how to clamp it down or something? I am using the old rubber hangers still.

is your exhaust being held up be the rubber things that hold up the exhaust, my buddies does make that noise too, but its because he has it held up with chicken wire at one part of it. and if it is being held up by them, make sure that they are brand new ones, not reusing old ones. And if its not those things there must really be something inside the exhaust, mabey in the cat or the muffler tip itself if you cant get anything out with a hose. Good luck.
my old trust exhaust rattled (at about 1.5-2k loudest normal driving wasn't noticeable) beacause the inside insulation wore out and the canister inside was loose. if that's the problem with your's there is no otherway to fix it except buying a new one. take the exhaust off and look inside while u shake it so u could see if it's loose
