Default How to clean the throttle body? Does dirty throttle valve casue loss of power?

Can I spray Carburetor/Fuel injection Cleaner into the throttle body?

Someone said that the fumes will make their way to the MAP (Manifold Air Pressure) Sensor and will cause it to burn out. Is it true?

What should be the proper way to clean it?

If it's just the throttle body I would say to remove it and just clean it off the motor. Yes, you can spray carb cleaner in there, as for the MAP sensor, i have never heard anything about that messing anything up. Usually people just spray some carb cleaner or seafoam while the car is running to clean all that out. If you use seafoam, BEWARE, there will be ALOT of white smoke, so make sure you're not in a garage or somewhere enclosed, you need to do it in an open area.
