Alright, I have a port/polished z6 head fully built ready to go, a skunk2 intake manifold, skunk2 megapower exhaust, megan 4-2-1 header, an aem tru-time cam gear, a 7lb fidanza flywheel, a stage 3 clutch kit, arp head studs, etc. I went with a z6 head and a y valve train and cam. Anyhow, any suggestions for piston/rod combos because I figure if I have the engine torn down that far might as well. I am doing a n/a build so I've been looking at eagle h-beams and cp or srp pistons... Do I buy d16z6 pistons or d16a6 pistons? Any decent gasket kit suggestions? ACL bearings? vtex controller? Any input would be much appreciated...

any d series piston will fit....are you looking to do a stroker or some kind of boring the cylinders?? you want to n/a you have to start with the block...did you have any stroker kits in mind?

 

well one of my friends mentioned golden eagle stroker kits, hadn't even looked at them but are told they are expensive... do you know of any reasonably priced kits out there? i was reading another thread about zc pistons in an a6 block with a z6 head making 12:1 compression? sounds a bit high... thanks for the input about the pistons... i was just worried about the clearances where the chambers are slightly smaller on the z6 head. i will have some pics up soon
