Forced to biuld.
ok so after the Nice new D16Z6 motor i had got stolen. i started get parts to rebiuld another one.
i have most of the parts i had befor.
Skunk2 intake
aem fuelrail
arp rod studs
cam gear
FPR
4-2-1 dc header
P29 Pistons
Stock rods (Shot peened) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shot_peening
but the DD is about to die so i need to get this back together ASAP and can't spend the money for the cam or the APR head studs and main studs or the block guard.
SO the question is has anyone here done a rebiuld on a D16Z6 and just put the P29 pistons in and how well did it run?
the motor i have was pulled from a 93 civic that was totaled and was a one owner car and had never had the head done so after machine shop is done i'm looking at 12.41:1 CR if only 0.010 total is shaved off head and block or 12.79:1 if thay take 0.020.
any info would be great i don't have the old pistons so i'm stuck with the P29's
