Default Someone help me please! d16y7+440's+hack, way rich!

Hey everyone, i need some help! I am currently have a stock d16y7 that has a pieced together kit on it. but the specs are an ebay manifold (reinforced of course), ebay t3/t4 .57 trim turbo, custom downpipe/exhaust, front mount intercooler. In the last few months i have just been running it with stock injectors, 12:1 FMU and missing link just to use as a daily driver. So i finally got the money together and ordered a walbro 255 FP, Precision 440 High impedance injectors, and an Apexi Neo ( wired in with a boomsling harness) to do the hack (cant go OBD1 whereas i have smog). When tuned i want to run about 8 or 9 psi.

So heres the problem i pulled the FMU, missing link and all that junk and installed my injectors, FP and my Apexi unit. And from what i have searched the last few days on forums is that my Apexi should be set to somewhere -44% give or take a few on an idle. Well it barely wanted to start so i took it to the max -50% and it still didnt want to run and now im throwing the barometric absolute pressure too low code. I also swapped my stock FP back in with the 440s to see if that helped which it didnt.

So what i am wondering is did i get my injectors too big for the y7 motor or is there something i am missing? I really want to be able to keep my 440s since they are brand new but if i have to i will go down to 310's. Also these 440's look like a monster compared to my stock injectors, is there a chance that i got shipped the wrong ones. They were not in a box when i received them from xenocron so does anyone know what the numbers should read on the side of the injectors. Thanks for reading my book and thanks for the help in advance!

Take it to a tuner.

I know this isn't what you want to hear... my suggestion: return the Neo and switch to ECU tuning.

That is a good idea, however it can still run rich using hondata if its not tuned right. Take it to a tuner they can tune it right, hondata would be great because its for more tunable (way more parameters) but if your not going radical the neo should do.

I cant go obd1 because of smog testing so a chipped ecu is out of the question.

I'm taking it to a tuner but it wont run enough to limp it there, a tuner is about 2 hours away.

I thought about hondata but i would like to keep my neo since i have it already

thanks for the replys, i was just hoping to catch someone that has done the hack that could help me. Does anyone know if a fuel pressure regulator would help? when i unplug my FP while the car is running it will level out and idol perfectly but as soon as i plug it back in the car goes pig rich. Thanks

Truck and Uhaul dolly. Either that or keep half assing it and not even make it to a tuner. Your call cause its your car.
