ok my 95 civic want start when it rains . ok when i turn the key to the on position and the fuel pump is suppose to kick on but it doesnt and the check engine light stays on but like i said it only does that when it rains. when its sunny the fuel pump kicks on and the check engine goes off so theres nothing wrong with my car when its sunny outside need help what do i need to check cause i have checked the fuel pump and fuel pump relay both are still good.

 

what's the condition of ur distributor cap..??

 

i mean the dizz cap is fine y do u ask

 

If your dizzy gets wet it won't start til it dries out

 

because sometimes if moisture gathers inside of the cap when it's raining it will prevent ur car from starting... sounds like maybe a bad ground, the dizzy issue, or something loose with the fuel pump... it's rare that it only does it when its raining but unfortunetly in tech school they dont teach ya circumstancial techniques to fix things that only break in the rain lol... start by checking all ur grounds, fuses, grommets, ect... "the cheap stuff first, than start spending money"... i did a lil mini search also an found out someone else with ur issue, try givin him a PM to see if he resolved his issue, an what was the culprit.. wish i could help ya more

ight thanks guys for the info i have been busy today but ya i will check that in the morning cause its raining now but again thanks guys ill let ya know if thats what the prob was.
