Got the ring's gapped and got the pistons on the rods and got all 4 in the block. Had a problem with one.

And a little problem we had with [freak]ing ARP 2000 rod bolts. I have to call Eagle today and find out what we have to do to get them to send a new rod bolt.
If you look the left hand rod bolt has thin sections in it. It's twisting but you cant see that i the pic. I followed Eagle's instructions and use a Snap On digital torque wrench. Went to 75ft. lbs. in 2 steps.

75 lbs on a rod bolt?????
should only 28 lbs on a 5/16 bolt and 43 lbs on 3/8 bolt using the molylube supplied with the rods
looks like you are the one who screwed it up!

Is that the only one that broke? If so I'd say you got some pretty strong bolts there. ARP

Are you sure you got the right spec sheet? I've never heard of a Honda rod bolt needing anywhere near that amount of torque. Hell, our ARP head studs are larger in diameter and only get 70 lb ft with moly lube.

Yup, that is the right sheet. You have a 5/16 or 3/8 bolt. 28 or 43 lbs. TQ pick one if you can measure the thread Dia. Use a ruler.
BOLT DIAMETERS ARE NOT DETERMINED BY THE SIZE OF THE WRENCH OR SOCKET YOU USE.
YOU made a mistake, live with it.
