block guard question

im trying to figure out if i should install one or not. my setup is b18a1 block 81.50mm, wiseco 11.4:1 pistons, eagle rods, exospeed stage 3 b18a1 head, ported and polished, supertech valvesprings and retainers, stainless steel swirl polished valves, brian crower stage 2 camshafts, blox intake manifold, blox 70mm tb, jdm 4-1 header 2.5"collector, golden eagle fuel rail, b&m fuel pressure regulator, short ram intake w/ blox velocity stack, b16 tranny, 12.5 lb. lightweight flywheel, and im also using a zex nitrous kit 75 shot. a friedn told me to get a blokcguard and install when were putting motro together, and i want to get someone else's opinon. also will be installing my 310 injectors when i convert to obd1

I wouldn't put one in though if you aren't planning on machining afterwards. Blockguards are a .0007 - .001 Press fit and anything over .0005 is a tight PF that will move material. The right way is to install and then machine.
