Car dieing when idleing down
So i bought an 89 crx hf today that is completely stock. The car seems to run alright just needs some tune up and things like that. The only thing i've noticed is that after driving it for a while (i drove it back home 3hours at about 80mph) that when i push in the clutch it idles down and just dies.
I'm not too familiar with the crx's so i'm not sure what to check first.

Search IACV. Its the little device on the back of you intake manifold which regulates how much air bypasses the throttle body in relation to the engine coolant temp. If the screen which the air passes through gets clogged it will cause idle problems. All it needs is a good cleansing. Also change PCV and spark plugs just to be sure.
Thanks for the response, i did clean the IACV and it seemed to help a little. You just use carb cleaner on it right?
I looked into buying a new one and they aren't cheap!! The IACV for my cobra was like $40 but this thing was like $200.

Is the CEL throwing any codes? Check the ECU under the passenger carpet for codes(LED blinks). I would also give her a good tune up just to be sure. Cap and rotor, plugs, PCV, clean you injectors(fuel additive)and air filter. Ahh, check the air filter, it could be clogged causing you to stall.
