Default 1995 Civic Hatch w/ aftermarket cup holder question...

hey guys i got a cup holder/coin pocket from ebay that is suppose to slide into the din space, but it seems a little to small for the din.. how do you think i should go about installing it? some foam around the din and find some way to fasten it?

here is a picture of the din:

Thanks in advance.

well im pretty sure they designed the cupholder to fit into a full din, i dont think you need to do any modifications to it

Just the heads up ..those cup holders from my experience are quite shitty. They are flimsy and after trying to make it useful ..the objective overall failed and became disappointing .

To the garbage it went

But if you insist to make it work the best way from my attempts was to use the metal shroud that was used for the stock radio with the addition if using thin pieces of wood to keep it snug in the metal case...

Since i had the center console with the ash tray out it made it a little easier to work with...

first i put the metal piece of the radio in bent the taps to keep it in the din....

then i put the cupholder with the glued on wood pieces to make it center in.....the from under i screwed it in through the metal shrouds and enough to enter the wood.... to stop it from slipping out..

hope this helps.

I have the same cupholder. What I did was grind down some of the screw holes on the side so it would fit inside a black trim kit from one of those car stereo installation kits you get from best buy or something and put a spare deck sleeve on it to hold the trim piece in place then put some screws in to hold everything together. Here are some pics of the finished product.

he did that so when you search any for any of those products his item comes up, which is pretty smart... and a pointless post on your behalf lol

>hates ebay scammers with fake **** but includes the companies name in discription, so when someone searching for an evo part gets a civic cupholder <

Not smart...it's against ebay's rules. It's called Keyword Spamming. If I'm searching for Nike, I don't want Reebok to come up.
